Senior Policy Analyst (Maternity Cover)

Job description: The Senior Policy Analyst will lead the analysis of environmental policy, legislation and regulatory developments in Scotland, the UK, the European Union and beyond. Working within the Strategy and Analysis team, you will provide expert advice on environmental governance, undertake horizon scanning and evidence gathering, and identify emerging issues that may affect compliance with and the effectiveness of environmental law. You will build strong relationships with stakeholders across government, Parliament, academia, industry and the environmental sector, helping to establish ESS as a trusted and influential oversight body.
