Strategy & Policy Officer

The Strategy & Policy Officer will lead on the development of, and consultation upon, the organisation’s Strategic Plan. The Strategy and Analysis team is also responsible for the establishment of strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners and the post will be heavily involved in helping to promote and explain the role of ESS and to establish the organisation as a trusted and effective oversight body in the post-Brexit landscape.

In addition, the postholder will contribute to horizon scanning and liaison with a wide range of organisations within Scotland and across the rest of the UK and the EU to ensure that ESS is well-informed about developments in environmental law and policy, to help focus our work on the most pressing and important environmental concerns.
