Environmental Standards Scotland (ESS) launched

Following the passage of the UK Withdrawal from the European Union (Continuity) (Scotland) Bill on 22 December 2020, Environmental Standards Scotland (ESS) has commenced work on a non-statutory basis. Its newly appointed Board will now start to develop ESS’s organisational capacity, strategy and links with stakeholders, in preparation for ESS becoming a statutory body later in 2021.
